KIMPEX CONNECT STACKABLE FUEL CADDY AND LUGGAGE BAGS https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/kimpex-connect-fuel-caddy-and-luggage-bags/ https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/kimpex-connect-fuel-caddy-and-luggage-bags/#respond Fri, 23 Feb 2024 11:00:00 +0000 https://www.supertraxmag.com/?p=15966 Any long-distance ride or saddle bagging trip can be a little precarious when you aren’t able to bring along extra fuel.

This is especially true for Arctic Cat, Polaris and Yamaha owners who don’t have the option for a certified fuel caddy to mount on their snowmobile. This is where Kimpex and its CONNECT line of tunnel mounted cargo accessories comes into valuable play.

Utilizing the ROTPAX 1 Gallon (3.8L) fuel container, which is popular with off-road riders, and the Connect gas tank holder you can eliminate your fuel distance anxiety. The other benefit is that you can do it in a cost-effective manner while at the same time adding a ton of versatility with the addition of other CONNECT cargo luggage bags, sealed containers, and storage racks.

The heart of the CONNECT system is the base mounts which, depending on the length of the tunnel, can be configured to include as many as four sets of base mounts in a row.

The mounting bases include a foolproof hinge system that ensures your cargo’s securement and are also lockable, providing additional peace of mind for preventing cargo theft while at stopovers.

Adding to the systems versatility is the easy mount rail system (not shown here) which accounts for differing tunnel mounting configurations and those tunnels that might not have pre-determined mounting locations. The rail guides can fit tunnels starting at 136-inch and up.

This winter marks our third season using the Kimpex CONNECT system and its clever design has given us ample flexibility in mounting various accessories ranging from stackable fuel caddies, cargo racks and adventure tunnel bags.

Rouski EVO – New Design and New Features https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/rouski-evo-new-design-and-new-features/ https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/rouski-evo-new-design-and-new-features/#respond Wed, 22 Feb 2023 14:36:43 +0000 https://www.supertraxmag.com/?p=15299 How about discovering an “evolved” version of Rouski? This Fall, Kimpex will be introducing the Rouski EVO, the first fully lockable system on the market. More compact, better integrated, and incredibly easier to operate, the Rouski EVO will offer the most efficient and safe solution to protect snowmobile runners and surfaces when travelling off snow.

Effortless Operation

“From the start, it was a priority: it had to be easy to operate. The user had to be able to activate the wheels without having to lift the ski and without bending over.” This is how the Kimpex innovation team start the presentation, while the engineer rotates the wheels under the ski effortlessly with his foot. The effect is convincing every time! This ease of operation is the result of the double pivot mechanism (patent pending) at the heart of the new system. It gradually multiplies the output force by a factor of 8. A simple foot pressure on the pedal helps the snowmobile’s ski rise easily. As a result, the Rouski EVO greatly improves snowmobile accessibility. Why strain yourself when the Rouski EVO can work for you?

First and only system on the market to be fully lockable

A retractable wheel system is above all a device helping riders to maneuver their machine when driving off snow. It must thus be reliable. However, with most current systems available in the market, when loading the machine onto a trailer or when going reverse, all too often, the device is under great pressure, causing the wheels to unintentionally disengage. The Rouski EVO is equipped with a lock button (patent pending) that can lock the wheels, both when they are raised and lowered. This significant innovation greatly improves the snowmobile’s handling.

Unique two-part design

As opposed to other systems, the Rouski EVO needs a ski adapter for installation. This unique two-part design (patent pending) makes it possible to reuse Rouski EVO on different types of skis by only changing the runner adapter. The system’s retainer screws are easy to remove, while the adapter subtly remains in place. This construction easily and conveniently fits different types of rides. Snowmobilers owning several machines or who change their ski will also benefit from this device. Likewise, it is a significant advantage for dealers who can easily meet their consumers’ needs.

Innovation is key to our mission!

For a few years at Kimpex, we have been working to offer powersport enthusiasts added value products. With three patents pending, the Rouski EVO is introducing unique features to the market aimed at improving driving experience off the snow, as well as for loading on a trailer, travelling along the roads, and for snowmobile storage.

The Rouski EVO will be available for purchase in Fall 2023.

COMMANDER WS4 TRACK KIT https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/commander-ws4-track-kit/ https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/commander-ws4-track-kit/#respond Mon, 30 Jan 2023 13:13:45 +0000 https://www.supertraxmag.com/?p=15205 With winter in full swing, northern states and provinces are now covered in a deep blanket of snow.

While this might signal end of riding for some, it’s just the beginning of having fun for those equipped with a track kit.

The Commander WS4 kit from Kimpex goes several steps further and allows you to get the most out of all four seasons.

With its unique configuration that eliminates sliders, the WS4 shows amazing efficiency on all types of terrain and an all conditions along with ensuring reduced friction and rolling resistance.

The tracks used on the WS4 were specifically designed to maximize traction without sacrificing ride quality. The center pallet track design with 1-inch lug height on the front tracks and 1.25-inch lug height in the rear provide optimal traction for plowing through snow while also self-cleaning itself of debris.

Clearing obstacles is made easier with 1-inch higher ground clearance compared to the competition along with a high front wheel mount that aides in rolling over tall barriers in your way.

One of the biggest challenges with any track kit is ride quality and reduced steering effort. Kimpex engineers spent a considerable amount of time perfecting the agility of the WS4 by reducing the ground contact patch and by spreading the load on three wheels. This not only improved agility and increased stability but also reduced the load placed on power steering systems.

With all the work that went into reducing vibration and friction comes a smoother ride. with reduced driving effort, decreased vibration and same traction capability as always for the best performance in all 4 seasons. Of course, the same sturdiness is maintained through a 2.5-inch tubular frame and an overall lightweight necessary to surf on snow.

Double wheel bearings with sealed caps, rubber coated wheels and its revised geometry translates into a surprisingly smooth riding track kit that has proven to get you places others would never attempt.

KEY FEATURES

  • 15-inch (381 mm) sprocket built for all season use
  • Aggressive track profile
  • HD tensioner: Quick & easy to use
  • Pronounced attack angle helps to clear obstacles
  • Wheels contact patch coated with rubber: Prevents ice from sticking
  • System without slider shoe for all season performance
  • Three wheels on the ground for less steering effort
  • Wheels with two cap-protected ball bearings : low and easy maintenance
  • Triangulated frame composed of robust 2.5” (64 mm) steel tubing
