Like most snow regions in North America this winter, the weather was frigid with no shortage of snow, making for ideal snowmobiling conditions.

Over the years, literally riding tens of thousands of miles all over the world, we’ve come to appreciate how being comfortable and dry seriously impacts the overall enjoyment of any snowmobiling adventure… and nothing could be truer when it comes to having warm feet. We’ve all been there at one time or another and having cold feet is no fun at all.

Canadian-made, Baffin Boots, have a long-standing reputation for manufacturing top quality, stylish footwear, specializing in boots that combat cold climates. For this trip to the Adirondacks, we chose the Baffin Impact boots specifically for their Polar cold comfort rating, literally tested for the “”the coldest moments on earth” at the North and South Poles.

Baffin’s B-Tek Dry Waterproof technology was something else that attracted us to these Impact boots and we can tell you first-hand, it really works because our feet stayed bone dry the entire trip. We enjoyed the convenience of simply sliding right into the boots and when sitting on our sleds in riding position, the boots provided a sense of security while offering excellent flexibility when both sitting or standing.

Additionally, the Baffin Impact boots have a luxurious, comprehensive liner system that gently hugs your feet like you’ve slipped them into a bag of marshmallows with room to wiggle your toes, providing the perfect environment for keeping your tootsies at just the right temperature.

It’s not a stretch to say these Baffin Impact boots are amongst the most comfortable we’ve ever worn and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any snowmobiler.

KLIM ADRENALINE PRO GTX BOA BOOT https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/klim-adrenaline-pro-gtx-boa-boot/ https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/klim-adrenaline-pro-gtx-boa-boot/#respond Fri, 10 Feb 2023 17:35:09 +0000 https://www.supertraxmag.com/?p=15246 If there was ever a boot by which all other snowmobile boots are judged, it would be the Adrenaline Pro GTX BOA boot by Klim.

Ranked as a favorite around our camp; its proven time-tested design scores big points when it comes to warmth, comfort, durability, and all-around versatility.

Built on a durable outer sole with an aggressive tread design, the upper boot is constructed with 600 grams of 3M Thinsulate insulation and a GORE-TEX waterproof membrane ensures a stable thermal layer to keep your feet warm and dry.

Adding to its ability to seal out the elements is its lower “D” ring which allows you to thread your bottom liner strap and hold the elastic cuff of your pant in place – keeping snow out.

Finally, the ratchet-style BOA cable-style tensioning system, with the use of a quick-turn dial for tensioning and quick-release function, makes for seamless operation and for easy-on and easy-off convenience.

Undoubtedly, the best attribute of the Adrenaline Pro GTX BOA boot is the fit. The plush, yet supportive, inner liner molds to your foot providing great lateral stability while the ankle cut-out allows for easy forward flex.

Our test riders also love its narrow profile which makes moving the boot in-and-out of a snowmobile’s foot holds effortless and non-restrictive.

Offered in full sizes from 4 to 15, individuals needing a slightly smaller size can insert the provided insole to reduce overall fit by half a size.

FXR BOOST X JACKET https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/fxr-boost-x-jacket/ https://www.supertraxmag.com/top-gear/fxr-boost-x-jacket/#respond Fri, 29 Dec 2017 06:00:00 +0000 https://new.supertraxmag.com/uncategorized/fxr-boost-x-jacket/ Cool casual style meets technical outerwear. That’s the best way we can describe the Boost X jacket from FXR.

As one of our favorite jackets from FXR, the Boost X jacket has kept us warm, dry and looking great. The bomber style cut provides a comfortable fit with plenty of room for movement in the arms and shoulders.

Its combo layering system provides what we feel is the best combination of warmth ratings. On really cold riding days, the thick insulated liner keeps you toasty warm. Come the longer days of sunlight in March, you have the option of zipping out the liner completely or opening up vents to moderate your heat level.

On days when the snow is plenty and deep the Boost X Jacket really comes into its own. The adjustable shock cord hem provides a tight seal across your torso and the lycra hand cuff extensions prevent any snow or drafts from getting underneath the jacket.

When needing to take a break with your helmet off, the removable and adjustable hood works perfect from keeping your head dry and all the pockets from large side ones to strategically placed arm and chest pockets keeps all your essential belongings safe and in place.

The Boost X Jacket is available in 9 color combinations and because we like this jacket so much, we’re giving one away. To enter go to supertraxmag.com/fxr
